In line with SabaFon vision and mission statement, the Training & Development Unit is one of the most important function in human resources department as employee training is a crucial component of SabaFon strategic direction. This unit assists in laying a solid footing for the whole team’s competencies and skills to achieve the target goals and general objectives in a very timely and effectively way, and part of this strategic direction is the leadership and excellence in the telecommunication market with the needed skills and expertise. 

Training & Development Unit Activities:

• Employee Training and Development

This unit provides highly professional training program and activities for SabaFon employees in order to equip them with the necessary skills and competencies which can help improve their performance in the field of telecommunication technology. The unit aims at developing the employees’ capabilities to overcome any potential barrier or possible obstacle through a comprehensive set of training activities including all work areas inside the company such as commercializing, logistic services, mobile technology, information technology, management, marketing, sales, and a lot more. Such training sessions are empowered by the latest techniques and the best international and local trainers with established skills and adequate expertise.

This unit also functions as the bridge that links SabaFon employees with the international mobile market and its domain. The unit equip the employees with the necessary experience to cope with the international mobile market standards. The training & development unit in SabaFon has trained a particular cadre of SabaFon employees to master the training and development art, and they have been accredited as international certified trainers, who are to train and develop their fellow employees as a development of the internal training system. This is a unique accomplishment in the quality of mobile communication technology practices in Yemen. 

• Students Training and Development

 The training and development unit has spared no efforts in providing community services as part of its social responsibility as the unit aims at developing the whole community through offering training sessions to university students in the fields of information technology and telecommunication engineering.
